CSCSS Cyber Science Directorate

Promoting advancement of cyberspace sciences through but not limited to cybersecurity, information assurance, cyber intelligence, cyber warfare, reliability, resilience, survivability, and their applications to cyberspace, cyber defence, information assurance and cybersecurity

Cyber Science Directorate (CCSD)

The Cyber Sciences Directorate is defined and tasked to examine the concept, theory and practice of science enabled cybersecurity and the adoption of scientific approaches to cyber and ways in which scientific methods can be applied.

The Cyber Science Directorate mission is to strengthen and support CSCSS, cyberspace security, and cyber resiliency by promoting and coordinating funded cyberspace research and development, innovation across the Centre through creativity, vision, and the delivery of advanced cyber technology solutions for cyberspace.

In anticipation of the challenges in securing the cyber systems of the future requires grounded research efforts that nurture and sustain progress to drive and develop realist approach to science of security.

About The Directorate

Through the Directorate we ensure a collective understanding of the priorities, requirements, and opportunities that define critical science and technology resources in the cyber field.

  • Effectively and continuously work to define and improve support by propagating and coordinating an understanding of capability gaps in cyber defense and needs throughout the science and technology research and development community.
  • Work jointly to communicate a response by exploiting synergies and potentially developing new opportunities through innovation
  • Promote Communities of Interest (COI) relating to Cyber Science

Communities of Interest (COI) COMMUNITIES OF INTEREST

COIs provide the private-public sector a way of coordinating the Cyber Sciences Directorate and industry to define a S&T approach to cyber strategies

Communities of Interest (COI)

The Cyber Sciences Directorate though the activities of the COIs provides coordination and collaboration in cross cutting cyber technology focus areas to drive an approach for pragmatic and direct investment in resources available.

COI Membership

Subject matter experts who often have decades of experience in the cybersecurity populate these groups with backgrounds in computer science and engineering generate innovation and advancement in focus with Cyber Sciences Directorate core objectives.

Join us to explore the sharing of new ideas, technical direction, and science and technology opportunities
