It seeks to advance global cyberspace security and prosperity by providing strategic insights for cyberspace and policy solutions to decision makers.

The CSCSS mission is both simple and incredibly complex: We work to ensure a secure, free, prosperous, and open cyberspace based on Leadership, Research and Defence. It represents what is best about cyber-centric leadership, and is capable of bringing together diverse, converging viewpoints, and leadership for cyberspace.

CSCSS provides the common ground necessary for the development of realistic approaches and strategies on cyberspace issues. We offer opportunities for an innovative approach to cyberspace, new paradigms for security + science, research and development, and converge them with dynamic concepts.

CSCSS’s research and analysis, is driven through our committed to objective research and to an approach to problem-solving that is founded on rigor, is multidisciplinary, and broad in scope. We deliberately build diverse project teams to include multiple perspectives and views.

Our projects, programmes, and research are objective, and independent. Regardless of the research sponsor or partner, our work is independent and free of commercial bias, partisan, and ideological prejudice. The Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + Security Science (CSCSS) is a multilateral, international not-for-profit organization that conducts independent cyber-centric research, development, analysis, and training in the areas of cyberspace, defence intelligence, cyber security, and science while addressing the threats, trends, and opportunities shaping international security policies and national cyberspace cyber security initiatives.

CSCSS, as a strategic leader in cyberspace, works jointly with key partners to address, develop, and define cyber technologies, cyber defence force capabilities, information dominance, and concept operations. We deliver practical recommendations and innovative solutions and strategies to advance a secure cyberspace domain.

Our vision is to ensure that cyberspace remains open to innovation and the free flow of ideas, information, and expression.

Mission:
Our mission is to conduct high-quality, credible, independent research, and provide innovative, focused, realistic recommendations and initiatives.

Goals and Objectives:
CSCSS is determined to tackle threats on a global level with our focus on the international aspects of cyberspace and security. This will be achieved by collaborating with public-private sector and interagency partners, and leveraging the use of research and resources. We will drive cyber security focused on key issues, infrastructures, and coordinated preventative and responsive activities.

As an organization, CSCSS delivers a globally-focused, well-defined, strategic objective. We present clear cyber and cyberspace-based security goals for government and the public-private sector.

In the global forum, we are the only independent, multilateral, revenue neutral, cyberspace and security science group in operation, working to generate international strategies and scientific research that clearly articulates strategic priorities, goals, and objectives.

We establish coordinated cyber-leadership developing, coordinating, integrating, and synchronizing cyberspace operations and resources. We execute cyber activities, creating synergy to defend the cyberspace information security environment, while promoting CSCSS as a capable and respected international leader in cyberspace, cyber-warfare, information dominance and defence, cyber-security, and research and development.

 

 

Support for Government

Cyberspace support and programs for members of the UK Parliament and the United States Congress

 

The Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + Security Science has prioritized providing cyberspace support and programs for members of the UK Parliament and the United States Congress and their staff. This includes cyber security support, education, and leadership from the world’s top experts in cyber security, cyber warfare, cyber defence and security policy, global challenges, and regional studies.

As a “think tank”, CSCSS endeavours to provide opportunities for government leadership to interact with the cyberspace and cyber security policy community on issues affecting national-international security.

CSCSS Provides

  • An independent, third party, multilateral body with which members of Parliament and Congress can engage on cyberspace issues
  • In-office briefings from top cyber experts with government experience
  • Staff focused cyber policy, cyber discussions, and cyber leadership seminars
  • Webinars and one-pager briefings on the ‘Critical Question’ of the day’s hot cyber security topic
  • World-class cyberspace/cyber security reports, and realistic recommendations on cyberspace issues

CSCSS works to generate cyberspace leadership that provides decision makers with the information they need to create better national-international cyberspace policy, and promotes informed, cyber-focused government institutions.

 

 

Partnerships

Create and build robust relationships with international partners at all levels to collectively strengthen cyberspace

 

Our partners benefit from the international presence we offer to strategically connect with governments, agencies, academia, and luminaries around the world for assistance with cyberspace security capacity-building and secure ICT infrastructure development.

Our focus in cyberspace includes strategic level cyber warfare, intelligence, and the promotion of legal regulation on cyber security issues.

We will:

    • Create and build robust relationships with international partners at all levels to collectively strengthen cyberspace and enable whole-of-concept cyberspace strategies
    • Provide a common ground for cyberspace and cyber science research and development
    • Combine strengths and leverage the expertise and capabilities of CSCSS partners from industry, governments, international organizations, and academia
    • Provide our partners with linkage to intellectual and hard resources to assist in effectively dealing with the global cyberspace threat landscape
    • Promote peer/SME (Subject Matter Expert) knowledge exchange and information sharing
    • Treat cyberspace as an operational domain (the Fifth Domain) and organize, prepare, train, and conduct research that takes full advantage of cyberspace and its potential

In collaboration with numerous stakeholders, strategic alliances, government, interagency partners, academic institutions, industry experts, and international organizations, CSCSS aims to advance the strategic understanding and importance of cyberspace and cyber security at a global level.

Leadership + Global Perspective
CSCSS’ comprehensive vision on how best to respond to cyber incidents by working with the private sector, academic groups, and nations on international norms of behavior in cyberspace. We jointly develop tailored solutions to address the requirements. This collaborative ethic advances ownership, accountability, and the transfer of knowledge of international legal framework and supporting concepts to defend against cybercrime.

Mission: Engage national and international groups, including partners from across public-private sectors and academic and research organizations that are directly concerned with the affairs of cyberspace.

Vision: Work on the international stage promoting best practice exchanges between nations and experts to enhance collective knowledge and awareness of current trends in the ever evolving and challenging landscape.

Framework
CSCSS provides a framework within which an international response to the growing challenges to the cybersecurity can be coordinated and addressed. The Group offers a unique forum where the public-private sector participates in the development and promulgation of a comprehensive array of plans and protocols to create a secure cyber infrastructure by using technical standards, capacity building, and legal measures.
