CCC - Activities

Developing, defining, and fielding cyber technologies and cyber warfare force capabilities will require adequate and realistic testing and evaluation in a collaborative context. To do this, CSCSS and the CCC, aligning with key partners, will work to identify, define, and provide new testing capabilities and institutionalize the evaluation of cyber system effectiveness as part of new capabilities-based processes.

We will address the changes necessary to ensure that testing and evaluation is conducted in an enhanced environment to provide fielding of essential cyber capabilities.

Activities

  • Promote cyber conflict related assessment, penetration testing, and applied research, development, and training
  • Collaborative sharing of information to support analysis and correlation
    • Real-time malware-focused alert correlation analysis
    • Rapid threat warning dissemination that leverages new collaborative data analysis capabilities
  • Cyber conflict capability demonstrations and commercial integration
  • Adopt cyber warfare principles and lessons learned to the protection of critical infrastructure
  • Perform basic and applied research in cyber warfare relating to technologies, techniques, and theory
  • Provide and ensure an adequate, realistic cyber test and evaluation is conducted in an environment appropriate to the maturity/level of development of the system or technology involved

Operate in a collaborative environment, promoting an appropriate mix of live, virtual, and constructive assets enabling cyber security, defence, and technology
